If you were planning on taking your kids to the Bronx Zoo today, I highly recommend taking a rain check. Officials from the zoo have reported that an extremely poisonous Egyptian Cobra has gone missing.  The reptile has been unaccounted for since this passed Friday, but zoo keepers are somehow convinced that it is still located someplace in the House of Reptiles, which has been closed down until the snake turns up.  This species of cobra has venom so potent, it can kill a human in 15 minutes from one bite.  Apparently the cobra will only attack a human if it feels threatened, or if it is very hungry.  If you visited the House of Reptiles Thursday or Friday last week, and you see your child playing with a new toy snake that you didn’t buy for them, it may be in your best interest to take it away.
